| Beverley C. Ferguson, Co-Owner & Catering Manager |
Since
moving to our new location, Owners Beverley (inset) and her sister Lian, have made improvements to their business by
incorporating a catering aspect under their umbrella of services.
Bev, believes that the spice to life is “being
your own boss, making your own hours and managing your own money!
Following her Mother's foot steps - Mrs. Mabel Morgan, a retired entrepreneur.
Bev gives her parents Ms. Mabel Morgan & Father, Felix Ferguson continuous accolades, for their discipline
business practices and work ethics. But mostly to Ms. Mabel, for being her mentor,
at times financer and most of the time her Assistant in the kitchen. Mango's is about serving "good" traditional
Jamaican cooking, which her parents taught her as a child. And feeling an IRIE vibe, that she became in grossed with,
by living in Jamaica from the age of 9yrs., and experiencing the arts & culture from
an early age. Bev has always had a close connection with the Jamaican music industry and its great grass-root
artists. Our mission is to bring you into our IRIE home, and experience a nice feeling....
"Nothing more, nothing less...."

Sharleen Moore,
a mother of two children and resides in New Jersey, has been cooking Jamaican cuisine at various restaurants around the Tri-State
for the past 10yrs. Sharleen has graced the kitchen at Mango's Reggae Cafe and in little under a year, has
challenged our perception and help define our vision of what Jamaican food truly can be. On a funnier note, she jests
how "Mango's has become her home away from home, literally"!
A former employee and dear friend to the owner of "Apples" Restaurant, Sharleen
came highly recommended to us, and continues to prove herself as a leader amongst leaders and most importantly a teamplayer.
Her craftmanship with various dishes and knowledge of skillful techniques in cooking and incorporating different seasoning
procedures, continues to inspire the development of Mango's menu, putting our dishes on a whole new level of Jamaican food
artistry.
Sharleen is a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen, but as a person, her passion for cooking
stems soul deep. The management of Mango's sincerely appreciates your dedication and commitment. We say thank you...

Mrs. Mabel Morgan,
(Ms. Mabel) is how we all refer to her because she is a pillar of strength and a woman of wisdom to us all. Ms. Mabel
brings to Mango's a wealth of experience and standard typical to Jamaican tradition. When she's not at her Senior
Center envolving herself with various activities, or going on trips throughout New Jersey. She's assisting the Chef
preparing produce for a busy night at Mango's. Ms. Mabel has no problem correcting our techniques or refreshing our
minds on how things were done back home. Her mindfulness of maintaining consistency and basic procedures in the
kitchen is priceless. Ms. Mabel takes great pride in making our natural beverages, such as Sorrel, Ginger Beer and Sour
Sap juices. Her involvement at the Cafe has been since its inception in 2004 and eagerly she applies herself even moreso
in her youthful years!

Special Events & Catering Services
I, Lian Ferguson started hosting part-time at various well known restaurants in New York. After
some years under my belt, I was given the opportunity to supervise and manage the operations on the dining floor at some of
the "hot spots" in town. The "Service" industry is a job I describe as an art in motion. You have to be mentally
creative, possess insight and be very quick on your feet! Literally, I'm sure you have witnessed, at
some point...
When assisting clients, I paint a picture for them as they express their thoughts and pose questions.
I try to treat absolute strangers as though I've known them for years, making them feel at ease, as they request
my help . I've found that the less my clients have to worry, the easier my job becomes.
My mission is to maintain a level of professionalism on the floor, yet present a sense of "family-fun" for
1st time visitors to our "family regulars" (as we call them). I may ask you, "how did you hear of Mango's?"
Or, "what do you think of the cuisine", because I value your honest opinion. Which, in the long run allows Mango’s
to make room for improvement and/or changes? We strive to accommodate our patrons and friends. We hope you
have a happy and memorable dining experience with returns of becoming a vested repeat customer!
For this, and this alone, we say "IRIE"
